This is an antique display vase. A Japanese, ornate ceramic flower sleeve by Noritake, dating to the early 20th century, circa 1920. Fascinatingly ornate vase with a brilliant finish and colour Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout Quality Japanese ceramic, with a light cream ground Bold form with wide, flared rim and tapering gently to the foot Foliate frieze to the front and rear fascia, set upon a rich green ground Relief gilt accents adorn the fascia and add appealing highlights Striking shaped handles dazzle with lightly time-worn gilt finish Noritake 'Komaru' export mark to the base, registered in London circa 1908 This is a superb antique display vase, with an attractive foliate decor and striking colour.
