An Exceptionally fine and quite rare hand painted Royal Crown Derby Twin Handle Urn Vase of Campana outline, early Nineteenth Century, Regency period. With twin gilt snake handles and allover decoration of the distinctive Imari pattern in colours of iron red, light blue and cobalt, Campana form ending on a circular base with lavish gilt decoration. Condition: Good overall condition, with no restoration anywhere, all snake handles are perfect which is rare nowadays, see images. Base marks in iron red, crown above crossed swords as used from 1806-1825. Height: (an impressive) 8" (20.5cm). Diameter: (at top rim). 6.75" (17.5cm). Diameter: (at base) 4” (10.25cm). Wonderful Rare Matched Pair of Early English Regency Royal Crown Derby Porcelain Pot Pourri or Pastile Burners of traditional form. First quarter of the Nineteenth Century. Lavishly hand decorated in Imari palette with colours of Iron Red and Cobalt Blue with gilt on an off-white ground, each rim with four projecting Lion's heads ending on four paw feet on a shaped base. Condition: Superb condition for such early items, light wear to gilding at high points and some staining inside, evidence of gilt overpainting on one cover, see image.
