Antique French Glass & Marble Cornucopia Vase

About the Item

A fantastic and rare antique French Empire Style glass cornucopia vase mounted on a marble and gilt bronze base. This was made in France, we believe it dates from around 1840-1860 period. The quality is outstanding, this is so well made and has an extremely beautiful design. The deep blue glass has gold painted decorations and is set in a gilt metal hand with fine detail. The hand is bolted to the marble base, which also has stunning gilt bronze borders and feet. The condition is excellent for its age, with only some very light rubbing to the gilt bronze here and there. Width – 7 inches, 18 cm Depth – 4 inches, 10 cm Height – 9 inches, 23 cm
