About the Item
Beautiful, antique, early Venetian / Murano hand blown blue to pink and gold flecks Italian art glass with ornate fish shaped flower vase / table object. Created in the manner of the Salviati and Fratelli Toso companies, with similars dated from 1885 to 1895. The color is made up with little tiny dots of color, going from blue to light pink, red at the bottom. The entire piece, the fins, tail and applied foot are profusely covered in gold leaf. There is a little clear glass loop on the mouth, where a chain has been placed if you wanted to connect it to other vases on your table. Would make a great piece on any curio cabinet, vanity or coffee table. Late Victorian era. Collectors item! Measures 7 1/4" tall x 3 1/2" wide at the base.

Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown Sommerso sapphire blue to clear Italian art glass fish on base sculpture. Documented to designer Dino Martens for Aureliano Toso, circa 1950s. Published in his book (see photo), model 6180, and a later model number 6913 is in the same shape. The fish has little blue murine eyes, with white Latticino ribbons on the fins and tail. It is balanced on a clear glass base. Would make a great display piece on any dresser, coffee table, or display cabinet. Mid-century era. Would make a great addition to any Nautical, Marine / Ocean theme room. Measures: 10 1/2" tall x 7" long x 3 1/2" wide. Last photo shows other colors currently available in the gallery.
