About the Item

Absolutely rare piece & fantastic art deco shape and design by Carl Fischer from the late 20s to 30s. Minimalist, abstract & boldly playful. The ceramic comes in a completely rough matte finish of pastel turquoise/light blue, with incised natural white/beige decoration, the dots are applied glaze. Smooth glaze top edge and inner. Marking: CF (Carl Fischer) stamp & 466 incised mark, as well as an X. Carl Fischer was born in 1891 and died in 1969. He is one of Germany's most cherished artists of the art deco and later mid century modern period.
