Barovier Murano Pink Opalescent Italian Art Glass Paneled Surface Flower Vase
About the Item
Beautiful and large, vintage Murano hand blown opalescent pink and white foot Italian art glass flower vase. It is attributed to the Barovier e Toso company. The surface of the vase has a paneled design all the way around, and has an applied opal ring on the bottom acting as the base. There are felt pads on it as you can see from the photos. The color is a soft pink, but when photographed in a dark background, you can see it has a bluish tint. This is because of the opal outer layer of glass. I have also photographed it in direct sunlight, and you can see the color becomes richer. Would make a great centerpiece on any dresser, coffee or dinning table. Fill it with flowers or showcase it as a sculptural piece. Midcentury era. Measures: 10" tall x 7 3/4" wide.
