Bay Keramik German Mid-Century Floral Molded Pottery Vase

About the Item

A very stylish West-German mid-century art pottery vase relief molded with floral stems by renowned maker Bay Keramik. The well potted vase is of large rounded bulbous shape standing on a narrow unglazed foot with a short narrow funnel shaped top rim. The body of the vase is molded in relief with flowering stems decorated in green glazes and set between a swirl border with matt deep brown glazes applied around the upper and lower body with a slight rough textured finish. The base of the vase is molded BAY W.GERMANY and is numbered 670-25. Provenance: acquired in the UK Art Market. In good condition.
