About the Item
Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown Sommerso clear over dark reddish amber / cinnamon brown Italian art glass flower vase. Documented to the designer Antonio da Ros (Italian, 1936-2012) for Vetreria Gino Cenedese. According to the previous owner, the vase is described as a "Flaconcino su Base", circa 1963. This is 1 of 3 different colors I currently have available on my listings (see last photo). The vase has a squared-off oval shape, with a flared rim at the top and clear base. The glass itself is very thick and making the vase pretty heavy. Would make a great display piece on any desk, vanity or console table. Late Mid-century era. For accuracy, on the shoulder of the vase there is a dark streak (see photo). Measures 8 1/4" tall x 5 3/4" long x 4 3/4" wide.
