About the Item

"Emblematic orange", a studio glass sculpture by Monica Guggisberg and Philip Baldwin. An unique glass sculpture from the times when the two artists had their studio located in Paris, France. Monica Guggisberg and Philip Baldwin discovered their particular style of making glass during the second half of the 1990ties. That way of making glass should become their unmistakable recognition factor until today. Combining Scandinavian and Italian techniques and adding skillful coldwork to their art glass. The artists are well known within the glass community especially because of their long collaboration with Venini. This particular item is a one of from their own workshop and it is reminiscent of the work that has been published in various books in the times of their break through to international success, which went to solo Museum exhibitions in Frankfurt, Geneva, Ebeltoft and so on.
