FRENCH 1910 Art Nouveau Cabinet Baluster Vase In Copper Glazed Ceramic

About the Item

A baluster cabinet vase made in France. Beautiful decorative baluster vase created in France in the beginning of the 20th century. The cabinet vase has been crafted in porcelain and decorated with copper glaze finish. Similar to the Raku pottery which is made using a low-fire clay body and glazed with a special Raku glaze. The glaze contains copper, which reacts with the carbon in the smoke during the firing process to create the distinctive matte finish Country: Paris, France. Period: Art-nouveau, 1910. Weight: About 1.5 pounds (0.68 Kg.). Measurements: 285.75 mm by 107.95 mm (11.25 x 4.25 Inches). Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark signed as follows, "ME", attached with manufacturer and retailers labels. Condition: The overall condition of this French cabinet vase is excellent. Besides the little normal wear, there is no damage and all parts are secured in the settings. This vase has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
