About the Item

Here is an unusual decorated vase by French ceramist Raoul Lachenal (1885-1956), the son of Edmond Lachenal, who was also a famous potter. The Egyptian blue color and crackle glaze is signature Lachenal. What is not as common is the hand-printed decoration on this example. The vase is signed Lachenal with the initials ML. We are unsure of the significance of the ML signature. Perhaps it could the initials of the artist who decorated the vase. Measuring approximately 9" in diameter and 9.5" in height, this sizable vase is in very good condition. There are no chips, cracks or signs of restoration. This vase is a real beautify, nicely decorated and large--sure to make a bold statement in any room.
