Hand-blown murano glass vase attributed to Flavio Poli, Italy, 1940s

About the Item

Murano glass vase attributed to Flavio Poli and produced by Seguso Vetri d'Arte in the 40s. Milky glass body with bubbles and subtly irregular and asymmetrical shape like an amphora with two handles. The technique of the pulegoso glass is carried out with a method that was used in the 20s by which gasoline was added to boil the glass in a molten bath, where thousands of bubbles of different shapes and sizes were trapped in the mass of glass, affecting the transparency of the piece and giving it this semi-opaque air. Very rare and bohemian piece. Unsigned.
