About the Item

Vase "Voie Lactée I" by Jean François Reboul (1952): Vase made out of enameled ceramic using Raku technique. "Certificate of Authenticity" provided by the gallery. Dimensions: D 10 cm x H 32 cm D 3.9 x H 12.6 inches Jean-François Reboul is a French artist who lives and works in Mazille, France. The artist has acquired lifetime expertise working and experimenting with ceramic and other natural materials. He graduated from the university of Fine arts in Avignon, France and continued his artistic research of materials ever since, evolving his personal use of them and their forms. The artist’s current atelier was created already back in 1982; where he began his journey with Raku technique having today over 30 experiences of a firing process developed in Japan in the late 16th century. Today Jean-François Reboul is inspired by astral figures, his vision of letting the material speak for its form. He varies his techniques and approaches depending on the argil, whether it is concrete used for the big art sculptures or ceramic for the utility creations. Further biography of the artist by demand.
