A pair of antique French Sèvres vases dating from the Napoleon III era

About the Item

A pair of antique French Sèvres vases dating from the Napoleon III era. Decorated in the eighteenth century style with its blue enamel body and highlighted in gold leaf with hand enamelled designs made to resemble jewels. Both vases are hand painted with cartouches of allegorical scenes alluding to love . The ormolu mounts are very much in the rococo style and add a touch of elegance to the vases. The lids have a finial shaped in a turned acanthus leaf.
