Moore Brothers 1872-1905 a brief history:
Bernard Moore and his younger brother Samulel Vincent Moore were manufacturers of China Tableware, high quality ornamental items to include Mantle Clocks and Fluid Lamps, almost using cream grounds with gilt highlights, some decorative pieces were also hand painted in colors. The factory was located in St. Mary’s Works, Longton, Staffordshire, England, employing up to one hundred and fifty people by 1881.
In September 1905 the their original moulds were sold to Thomas C Wild.
Bernard Moore moved to premises at Wolfe Street, Stoke, on his own he became a “Consultant Potter” making pieces with spectacular glazes.
