About the Item
An unusual pair of French vases hand painted in bright enamel colours of scenes of putti drinking and having fun . Decorated on a dark background with allegorical emblems on the back alluding to love. The bodies are adorned with good quality gilt bronze mounts with vines and grapes designs as handles and two putti on the lids in a merry state. The border below the decorated ceramic panel is in dark bronze and flows into a gilt bronze foot.
