Vintage "La Marelle" Hotel Restaurant, Brussel, Jewellery, Pin Dish, Ashtray, Porcelain De Baudour Belgium. Vintage advertising collectible porcelain dish ashtray vide poche catchall. Art Deco style 1960's porcelain ashtray or trinket dish from the Hotel Restaurant "La Marelle" Brussel Belgium. Excellent condition, classic white design with black script and gold rim. La Porcelaine De Baudour Belgium is one of the few porcelain makers to develop its own porcelain compound on-site at the factory. Dimensions: 4-1/4"L x 4 1/4"W x 1"H. Made in Europe Belgium circa 1960s. "La Marelle" is the name of the traditional hopscotch game in France, but a variant there is known as escargot (snail) or marelle ronde (round hopscotch). The variant is played on a spiral course. Players must hop on one foot to the center of the spiral and then reverse their path to back out again. There is a lot of stores, restaurant in Europe, Paris Brussel who used the name " La Marelle" as their Brand Name which make us remember the game we all played at school when we were young.
