About the Item

Vintage Danish glass pipe ashtray, 1970s Large Danish ashtray for pipes designed by Michael Bang for Kastrup / Holmegaard Glassworks, 1975. Made in three sizes. This is the largest with a diameter of 19.5 cm. This was one of the first pieces of glass made with a special technique called centrifuge. An assistant added a second color, while the glassblower spun the base color. Signed on the bottom: HG5 MB Very good condition, no chips or cracks.
