About the Item
Gorgeous and iconic Shoji pattern Sake bottle set with matching Sake glasses made by the Imperial Glass Company in the 1960s. The only one set of its kind available - globally - and in great condition free from defects or wear. This set was kept in an Étagère for several decades and likely never used thereby maintaining a like new condition. The Shoji pattern is meant to imitate Japanese screens and is embossed. You'll feel the trellis pattern squares when handling - a unique and elegant texture. The pattern was then hand painted in 22k Gold. The Sake bottle is tall and large - a beautiful statement piece. The Sake glasses are sized in keeping with Japanese tradition and are also embossed and impressive. This is the most highly regarded and sought after Mid Century glassware line by any manufacturer, bar none. The most glamorous of all, without a doubt. The bottle top also doubles as a drinking glass - service for 5. Our shop may have an additional glass if looking to create service for 6 - please inquire.
