About the Item

1970s English 9ct Gold Telescopic Cocktail Swizzle Stick A finely crafted telescopic cocktail swizzle stick in solid 9ct yellow gold, made in England and hallmarked for Birmingham, 1973. This beautifully engineered piece features a textured engine-turned handle and extends to reveal a sprung stirrer with curved arms and a ball finial — an elegant novelty item designed for stirring cocktails or spirits with style. Marked “PAT APP. FOR” and fully hallmarked with 9.375 gold standard, Birmingham anchor, and date letter t for 1973. The maker’s mark is lightly rubbed but partially legible. Compact, tactile and luxurious, it would make a superb addition to any gentleman’s barware collection, or an ideal gift for a collector of fine curios and mid-century design.
