An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver wine cooler; an addition to our antique wine and drink related silverware collection. This exceptional antique Victorian wine cooler in sterling silver has a circular campania shaped form onto a circular spreading pedestal foot. The surface of the cooler is plain and unembellished, with a cast and applied gadroon decorated border to the upper flared rim. This antique silver wine cooler is fitted with an exceptional pair of cast silver handles ornamented with naturalistic textures, leaf decorated terminals and an organic collar to the centre of each handpiece. This impressive sterling silver wine cooler is supported by a circular knopped pedestal foot. This exceptional Victorian wine cooler retains the original detachable Sheffield plate liner and push fit cover. The sterling silver torus-shaped cover is plain and unembellished. Such examples are often fitted with Sheffield plated liners to assist with durability, in addition to the thermal conductivity levels of this material being more effective at maintaining cool temperatures. A magnificent, fine and impressive antique Georgian English sterling silver wine cooler made by Henry Chawner; an addition to our antique wine and drink related silverware collection This magnificent antique George III sterling silver wine cooler has a circular rounded form onto a shaped circular spreading foot. The surface of the cooler is embellished with exceptional chased floral and scrolling foliate decoration, all on a matte background. The decoration to the body incorporates a large scroll bordered cartouche to either side, each ornamented with a contemporary engraved coat of arms depicting firstly a chevron charged with three lions passant guardant, secondly in chief three cross-crosslet and to the base a lion passant. This antique wine cooler is fitted with an exceptional pair of cast silver handles realistically modelled in the form of an eagle with raised wings, perched on a large scrolling leaf design. This impressive cooler is supported by a cast circular shaped spreading foot embellished with further floral and foliate decoration, accented with a large scrolling border to the rim. This exceptional Georgian wine cooler retains the original, hallmarked detachable liner and push fit cover. The cast sterling silver torus-shaped cover is ornamented with large floral and foliate designs, with an opposing scrolling border paralleling the shaped rim. This magnificent and large antique Edwardian sterling silver presentation cup and cover has a Campania shaped form onto a circular spreading pedestal foot. The lower bulbous portion of the silver cup is encircled with chased fluted ornamentation. Either side of the plain upper portion of the body of this cup is embellished with an exceptional and large applied ribbon tied laurel branch wreath, replicating the border of a classic cartouche. This impressive Edwardian presentation cup retains the impressive, original hallmarked push fit cover surmounted with an exceptional, fine and impressive cast sterling silver overlapping leaf and bud style finial. The rim of this substantial cover is encompassed with an impressive applied egg and dart decorated border. This antique cup and cover is fitted with two very impressive cast sterling silver handles modelled in the form of conjoined snakes, above a figural mask and Caduceus. The pedestal is encompassed with a shaped alternating leaf decorated knop to the upper portion in junction with the body.
