About the Item

Pair of Edwardian-Style (made in the Art Deco Period), sterling silver -mounted, hand-blown glass whiskey tots/noggins, Chester, England, year-hallmarked for 1935, S. Blankensee and Son - makers. Sterling silver lids are hinged. Each tot/noggin measures 4 1/4 inches high (at highest point - handle at top of sterling silver hinged lid) x 2 1/2 inches diameter (at widest point - diameter across base) x. 2 3/4 inches wide if measuring from outer edge of handle to outer edge of base. The lower portion of each tot/noggin, is diamond-cut in design. The underside of the base of each tot/noggin has an incised star cut into it (see photos). Glass is hand-blown. The bottles may also be used as cruet bottles. Dark areas in photos on sterling silver are reflections. In very good condition.
