English Sterling Silver & Cut Crystal Pinch Neck Decanter, London, 1906 An elegant Edwardian decanter combining the brilliance of deeply hand-cut lead crystal with the refinement of hallmarked English sterling silver. The body is richly decorated with a diamond crosshatch motif, tapering to a narrow neck adorned with an ornate, flared sterling silver collar featuring dramatic petal-like scrolls. Topped with a gleaming silver ball stopper, this piece is both functional and sculptural—perfect for fine spirits or as a decorative centerpiece. Hallmarks on the collar and stopper include J.G. Ltd.—Maker’s mark for James Green & Co. Lion passant—Sterling silver (.925 purity) Leopard’s head—London Assay Office Date letter 'g' – Year of assay: 1906 Dimensions: 11 in. high x 5 in. diameter Origin: London, England Materials: Hand-cut lead crystal, sterling silver Condition: Excellent antique condition; silver shows warm patina with minor surface wear consistent with age. The stopper fits securely.
