Guido Galbiati, Italy, Modernist Silver Plate Cocktail Shaker

About the Item

This modernist three-sectioned cocktail shaker was crafted by the renowned silversmith Guido Galbiati Argenteria in Italy, circa 1960. The superb modernist design showcases a geometric pattern and includes a removable cap and filter strainer. The incised name of Guido Galbiati and the legal silversmith hallmarks mark the side. This rare barware tool is an indispensable accessory for those who appreciate the finer things in life. The bar accessory is in good condition, with minor scratches on the metal expected from previous use. There is a tiny bump on the strainer and one scratch on top of the lid, but they do not significantly affect the overall appearance. Check the close-up. The inside of the container is in excellent condition and ready to use as soon as it arrives. Dimensions: 3.13 in diameter (8 cm) x 7.50 in high (19 cm). Note: Founded in Milan in 1908, Argenteria Galbiati bears the name of its founder, who wanted the bee, symbol of industriousness and creativity, to appear in the company's logo, along with his initials. The entry of his children and, later, his grandchildren into the company marked a new impetus in the history of Argenteria Galbiati, bringing technical structures more suited to the times. Argenteria Galbiati, which introduced the English technique of silver-plating to Italy, is today synonymous with a diverse production that, alongside traditional forms, includes modern lines suitable for all occasions. It is well known that the best models for future development are often found in the past, and these models serve as a constant stimulus for the creation of new forms. The current studies by Argenteria Galbiati aim to combine high-quality materials and reinterpret models in a modern key. The manufacturing process has remained linked over time to artisanal details, for which some operations, such as hammering, chiseling, engraving,
