About the Item

Boost your cocktail experience with this rare American Art Deco masterpiece, a stunning creation by Hawkes Inc. from circa 1940. Exuding sleek modernist elegance, this extra-tall barware pitcher is a true testament to refined mastery and timeless design. The hand-blown glass body, adorned with a sophisticated geometric frosted-line pattern, effortlessly merges artistry with function. A striking chromed metal handle adds a bold architectural element, enhancing the streamlined silhouette. Accompanying this exquisite piece is an extra-long stainless steel stirrer, perfect for expertly mixing martinis or cocktails with precision and style. Though it bears no visible designer's mark, its craftsmanship speaks volumes. An essential addition to any curated bar collection, this exceptional pitcher transforms entertaining into an elevated experience, bringing a touch of Art Deco luxury to your next gathering. Dimensions: Pitcher: 5.13 in wide (13 cm) by 3.75 in deep (9.5 cm) by 14.19 in high (36 cm). Stirrer-spoon: 17.75 in long (45 cm). Note: Please check the last two pictures for reference. These images are from the 1949 movie The Champion. In the movie, a Hawkes skyscraper cocktail mixer is used by the bad girl, played by Marilyn Maxwell, to stir a Martini for the boxer, played by Kirk Douglas. One sip and things are all over for the determined guy, who then leaves his honest manager and joins the racketeers. In 1940, the Museum of Modern Art in New York selected the Hawkes mixer as the best showcase of modern design in moderately priced commercial items. (Credit: Visakay website)
