He began his career at Sottsass Associati, partnering with famed Italian designer Ettore Sottsass as part of the legendary Olivetti Design team, and later served as Director of the Domus Academy Research Center, where he worked to apply the principles of Italian design to design innovation, interactive design, and strategic design. Marco moved from Italy to the U.S. to create the Motorola Advanced Concept Group, ultimately becoming Motorola’s Global Vice President of Experience Design. Marco’s work has been awarded by IDSA IDEA, IF Design, Red Dot, ID magazine, and Good Design; notable past clients include 3M, Allstate, Apple, Fontana Arte, Logitech, Mitsubishi, Motorola, Nestle, Nissan, NTT, Panasonic, Philips, Pirelli, Seiko, Unilever, and Xerox, among many others. Previously, he also assisted with multiple academic initiatives at Domus Academy, RCA London, MIT Boston, NSAD San Diego, Interaction Design Institute Ivrea, and the University of Siena. Marco’s recent design projects focus on design visions for the future of food, urban transportation, wearables, health devices, smart home systems, and the Internet of Everything.
