Elegant octagonal agate mortar and pestle with a smooth surface.
Likely used (originally) for crafting perfumes, or in chemistry blends.

The purple semi-translucent stone reveals warm, rosy hues under sunlight.
The piece bears subtle marks of its past, with fine white streaks visible on two sides of the base (visible on the photos).
