A playful brass corkscrew in the form of a monkey. This corkscrew dates from the 1960's and was designed by Richard Rohac for Herta Baller, Austria. Signed at the base, like seen in the picture.
Richard Rohac is best known for his whimsical 'black-golden' line of patinated brass animals. Early examples, like this, are revered for their quality of design and manufacture. Nice addition to your room, bar or just for your collection of Austrian bronze items.
