About the Item

A wonderful pale green carafe, flask or decanter from Danish glassmaker - Holmegaard Glasværk's "Viking" series. Designed by Ole Winther in 1955 and produced from 1962 but discontinued in the 1970s. The carafe features a Viking head with a crown, large moustache and beard embossed seal with a circle surrounding it. In very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks or nibbles. There is a raised thin line running down either side which is part of the glass blowing process. Perfect for practical use or for display purposes. I also have a turquoise and cobalt blue version on the Retro Living website. Dimensions: Height: 23 cm Diameter: 12 cm
