Vintage Artesania Tabuisa Tumi Peruvian God Gold Glass Mugs Set of 3. Set up the Tiki Bar and serve your favorite drink or beer, featuring an Aztec Tumi God. The graphic is so striking and very modernist. There are Inca God figure design in front of each glass, marked Peru on one side and Tumi on the other side. It was a part of the Mayan culture and history. Pristine vintage 14k gold Inca gold graphic glass mugs with original tags. Hand-made in Peru, the drinking glasses are heavy and will keep your drink cold. Dimensions: 5 in. tall x 4 in. with Handle x 3 in. Diameter. No chips or cracks and no fading to the gold rim or the graphic. Set of 3 Mid Century Modern Artesania Tabuisa Barware Glassses with 14k gold design and trim featuring Tumi Peruvian God. About the Design: Tumi is a generic term encompassing the many kinds of sharp tools utilized in pre- and post-colonial eras of the Central Andes region, Tumis were employed for a diverse set of purposes such as kitchen knives, agricultural tools, warrior or hunting secondary weapons, sacrificial knives, barber implements, pendants, or medical tools. In addition, the tumi form, in metal, was used as a type of coin.Pre-columbian Tumis were usually made of metal or stone. Tumi, Peruvian God, is generally a knife shape, a totem deity, ceremonial. Metalurgy was the primary medium for expression of power of Sican rulers and tumis were delicately made with gold. This shape with its semicircular blade is known on the Peruvian cost since the 3rd century BC. They appear often in Moche iconography and this type of instrument, featured on the glass front. They iconography and knife was found in situ in tombs of high status Moche and Sican individuals. They were exquisitely crafted by skilled metallurgists.

The surface of each solid silver mug is encircled with two fine and impressive broad bands of tooled decoration, in addition to the contemporary bright cut engraved crest of a spur erect between two wings.
