About the Item

A truly unique Mid-Century Modern bowling ball/liquor dispensing bowling trophy. A very rare find! The top half of the ball lifts off to reveal a Merry-Go-Round style liquor dispensing pump and 6 colorfully accented art glass shot glasses. Included: Globe on stand (attached), Glass Bottle, Chrome Dispensing Pump, 6 Shot Glasses. Good vintage condition. This awesome retro cocktail dispenser has been made in the form of a bowling ball. The hollow ball is composed of two sections of marbleized butterscotch colored plastic with a fully dimensional 2.75" tall figural metal trophy-style bowler finial at the apex. The bowler functions as a handle, enabling the top to be lifted off easily. The lower portion of the bowling ball is attached to a wide metal base which provides stability. The metal is finished in black. The lower portion of the ball is equipped with a removable pump action cocktail dispenser at the center which is surrounded by a polished chrome rotating carousel collar with six holes. The holes each accommodate a single clear shot glass with a ridged band. Two are decorated with green bands, two are decorated with blue bands and two are decorated with red bands. The set is in very good original condition with no missing parts. As a vintage item, the piece shows signs of age consisting of minor wear to the finish on the plastic bowler finial and minor scuffs on the ball itself. The shot glasses stand 2.875" tall. They are 1.75" in diameter at the mouth and 1.25" in diameter at the foot. Each glass has a 1 oz capacity. The complete set weighs in at 6 lbs 2 oz. This highly collectible bowling ball cocktail dispenser set is a statement piece and would be a wonderful addition to a retro home bar or commercial establishment. A great vintage find!
