A fine and impressive, large antique George III Irish sterling silver sauceboat / gravy boat; part of our Georgian silver dining collection. This large and impressive antique Irish sterling silver sauceboat has a plain boat shaped form. The lower portion of this Georgian sauceboat is embellished with embossed concave fluted decoration in a subtly undulating design. One side of the surface of the sauceboat is further ornamented with a contemporary bright cut engraved crest. The upper rim of this impressive sauceboat is encompassed with a shaped scalloped border. This fine Georgian silver sauceboat is fitted with an impressive opposing scroll handle and ornamented with a scrolling leaf thumbpiece.
