About the Item

Art Nouveau style cake stand, produced in Italy in the 1920s, made of antimony casting with a glass upper bowl. The base, solid and slightly burnished by the patina of time, is decorated with elegant floral garlands in relief that underline the naturalistic taste typical of the Art Nouveau movement. The shaft is supported by three finely modeled putti in a midwife position, which create a refined scenographic motif around the pedestal. The transparent bowl, with a wide and slightly oval shape, rests on a chiseled edge with small stylised roses, recalling the floral decoration of the base. The contrast between the dark metal with a slightly oxidised appearance and the bright glass gives this cake stand a very authentic vintage charm, ideal for displaying fruit, sweets or a bouquet of fresh flowers. Dimensions: Total height: 33 cm Base diameter: 18 cm Bowl diameter: 18 cm A piece of furniture with a strong decorative impact, perfect for those who love collecting Liberty objects and enhancing environments with a classic and refined style.
