Blue vintage Murano glass centerpiece by Alberto Donà, 1980s Italy.
This superb Venetian centerpiece steals the scene, thanks to its vivid color and its delicate flower shape. This artwork was entirely handcrafted in the 1980s in the Italian island of Murano, following the ancient glassmaking techniques. It is attributed to the renowned glass artist Alberto Donà.
Its shape is perfect for holding fruits or other objects. The surface is smooth on the upper part, and it is ribbed on the bottom part.
The centerpiece is in perfect original condition, as documented in the attached photos.

Alberto Donà
Alberto Donà, born in Italy in 1944, began working in the glass field at the age of 13 and became known for his ability with colors and creativity in generating unique combinations, hence his valued collaborations with important companies such as Venini, Saporiti that have relied on Donà for glass accessories. In October 2001, he had a one-man show at the Vassel Art Gallery in London. He was selected to furnish the lighting for the Hiroshima Memorial Museum.
