About the Item
A beautiful Chinese 19th century Porcelain and French Louis XVI st. Ormolu centerpiece. This most elegant centerpiece is raised by eight pointed feet below a square Ormolu base with concave corners displaying richly chased rosettes and fine fluted designs. The socle pedestal above displays a wrap around berried laurel band and a most decorative curved fluted central support. Leading up each side are striking Greek Key shaped Ormolu handles with swaging berried laurel bands encasing the Porcelain bowl. The bowl displays exceptional craquelure and a superb Ormolu beaded band at the rim.
