About the Item
A stunning and high quality French 19th century Louis XVI st. Belle Époque period ormolu and Baccarat crystal sixteen glass and four decanter Cave à Liqueur. This beautiful liquor set is raised by handsome paw feet with striking foliate designs. The pierced mottled socle pedestal base displays additional lovely foliate movements in a rich satin and burnished finish. The striking coffret above displays an impressive and richly chased keyhole escutcheon with a most decorative twisted wrap around ormolu fillet. The coffret is made of superb thick cut Baccarat crystal with fine handles at each side hanging from exquisite foliate supports. Inside are the original sixteen cordial glasses and four decanters each with sensational etched floral patterns supported in their original finely detailed ormolu carrier. With the carrier removed, the finished inside of the coffret is revealed where a wonderful charming ormolu plaque is displayed. Above is a lovely foliate ormolu finial.
