An exquisite and very high quality French early 19th century 1st Empire period ormolu mirrored plateau/centerpiece. The centerpiece is raised on a flat base with four richly chased masks of beautiful maidens. A most decorative fluted design extends along the border of the centerpiece below striking finely detailed pierced foliate designs framing the original fitted mirror plate. All original gilt throughout.
