Italian 19th Century Louis XVI St. Alabastro, Onyx, Coral Centerpiece
About the Item
A unique and most decorative Italian 19th century Louis XVI st. alabastro, onyx, coral and ormolu centerpiece. The centerpiece is raised by handsome ormolu paw feet below elegant open wings. The onyx base displays a fine stepped design with two lovely ormolu fillets which extend along the front and sides. Above is the striking and wonderfully executed coral rearrangements with an array of beautiful colors which encase the most impressive square tapered obelisk at the center. All original gilt.
