About the Item
A large cream and blue ceramic charger decorative plate signed in the back by artist Geff Reed. Two cream poppies, one open and the other closed, are framed with poppy leaves against a light periwinkle blue with cream geometric fragments.
Geff Reed is known as a teacher and sculptor and at one time his works were sold by Hall's in Kansas City, Missouri. He exhibited a slab bowl at the Butler Institute of American Art Craft and Sculpture Show in 1968 and was instructor of ceramics at Richmond Professional Institute, Virginia.
