About the Item

This striking mid-century modern Rosolio set is a fantastic example of Italian ceramic artistry from the 1950s, created by the renowned Rometti manufactory. The set, featuring a dramatic and sculptural design, consists of two conjoined bottles, six matching glasses, and a serving tray, all crafted from high-gloss black ceramic. The bottles are adorned with vibrant, hand-painted orange floral motifs and abstract patterns, while the rims of the bottles and the interior of the glasses are finished in a brilliant, contrasting orange. The bottles are connected by an elegantly twisted handle, forming a singular, eye-catching centerpiece. The six small glasses mimic the color scheme, with their black exteriors and brightly colored orange interiors. The entire set rests on a matching black ceramic tray. This set is a testament to the period's playful yet sophisticated design sensibilities. It is signed on the bottom of the tray with the Rometti mark, confirming its authenticity. Perfect for entertaining or as a decorative statement piece, this vintage Rosolio set is in very good vintage condition with small signs of use and wear on the glasses.
