A stylish stoneware studio pottery lidded container with brushed designs by renowned studio potter Janet Leach (British, 1918-1997) dating from around 1965. The container is of squat wide cylindrical shape and heavily hand potted standing on a flat round base. The cover with a small lip sits neatly in the top recess and the container has brushed tenmoku designs applied to the cover and base with tenmoku glazes to the inside and inner cover.
