Ceramic Tray with Metal Montage and Egyptian Motiv from the 1920s
About the Item
This tray was produced by the ceramic manufacture Jílové near Decín in the Czech Republic.
Production started after 1918 and continued through the 1920s.
The Jugendstill metal montage is chrome plated and holds the ceramic plate securely in place.
The plate exhibits an oriental motive made in Spritztechnik, which was popular at this time in German speaking countries.
The motive shows a romantic view of on Egyptian pyramid in strong colors.
I personally have fallen in love with these trays and have collected them over the last 15 years, in different motives.
They look great hanging on the wall, presented as a picture.
The metal montage has some rust, the ceramic is in very good condition.
