A George Jones Majolica Kingfisher on Lily Pad Luncheon Tray, the trefoil dish naturalistically molded as a lily pad and blossoms with cattails, with a colorfully glazed model of a kingfisher with a fish in its beak, the raised base formed as cattails and blossoms, the reverse with impressed monogram 'GJ & Sons' in a crescent moon. This design is included in the Karmason Stacke Library of the Majolica International Society, number KL000054, and is designated 'Rare.' English, ca. 1875 LITERATURE: Robert E.
