About the Item

Páramo expresses the malleability of the earth. This scalable set of mosaics modeled using parametric design allows for infinite variations. The geographies that result from these digital explorations echo the beauty of hilly, sculpted landscapes. The mosaics were hand-crafted by master craftsman Amando Pedro using an ancestral black clay technique from San Bartolo Coyotepec, Oaxaca. His experience and sensibilities made this union of tradition and contemporary design possible. Clay gives these pieces shape, fire gives them lines, and stone makes them shine. Páramo strikes a balance of uniqueness and mathematical conception. There are eight models to choose from, and any arrangement created from these tiles will be entirely unique. Design: Tania Alvarez Zaldivar -PÁRAMO Tiles, Black Clay from Oaxaca. MIX 50% with curve and 50% with plain curve. Sold per m² One or several square meters can be purchased. - Tile sizes vary from measurements: Large Tiles: 20 cm x 5 cm x 1.4 cm 20 cm x 5 cm x 2.3 cm 20 cm x 5 cm x 3.2 cm 20 cm x 5 cm x 3.9 cm Small Tiles: 10 cm x 5 cm x 1.4cm 10 cm x 5 cm x 2.3 cm 10 cm x 5 cm x 3.2 cm 10 cm x 5 cm x 3.9 cm - Tile mural is not mounted on a surface, customer will install it on a surface as they see fit: either with the help of a tile expert, attached with Velcro, or mounted on a wooden surface or frame.
