About the Item
A delightful collection of five vintage UAC Geoffrey Pink Panther sporting figures produced under license in Japan and dating from around 1981. The figures are licensed by the United Artists Corporation who produced and created the iconic Pink Panther cartoon character on which the figures are based. Created in ceramic the lightly made figures comprised of a golfer, a runner, a tennis player, a footballer and a rugby player. Each is finely made and mounted on an oval base and hand painted in traditional pink with colored highlights and several have printed copyright marks to the base with some still retaining their original Japanese paper maker’s label. The figures vary in height and have included the largest dimensions.
Provenance: From an extensive private collection of Pink Panther related memorabilia and acquired through the UK Art Market.
In good condition with light natural wear associated with age and use.
