Italian 18th Century Pharmacy Jar

About the Item

The practice of healthcare and medicine may have changed since the 18th century, this Italian pharmacy jar from c. 1780 has enduring function and appeal. The gourd-shaped vessel is hand-painted with inky blue foliate motifs similar to Delft and Chinoiserie patterns. Would make a handsome vessel for kitchen utensils, flowers or to decorate a shelf.
