This piece was designed by the esteemed Danish jeweler and goldsmith Arje Griegst in 1978 and is no longer in production. Arje Griegst is globally celebrated for his jewelry, sculptures, and glassworks, including notable contributions to Holmegaard and Georg Jensen. Condition: 1st sorting Arje Griegst's Konkylie series is a celebrated collection designed in 1978 for Royal Copenhagen. The name "Konkylie," meaning "conch" or "shell" in Danish, reflects the organic and fluid forms inspired by nature, which are characteristic of Griegst's work. The series features elegant, white-glazed dinnerware with intricate, shell-like patterns and sculptural qualities. Griegst, renowned for his craftsmanship in jewelry, sculptures, and glassworks, brought a unique artistic vision to this series, making it highly sought after by collectors. Although no longer in production, the Konkylie series remains a testament to Griegst's innovative design and his ability to merge functionality with artistic expression.
