French Faïence Maison Fouillen Quimper Floral Yellow & Green Oyster Plate, 1940s
About the Item
A Faïence oyster plate from the Quimper region of France, circa 1940s. Produced by Paul Fouillen, a potter who left the Henriot Grand Maison Quimper pottery to produce his own line, Maison Fouillen.
Brightly glazed in a yellow colored textured ground with a bold green rim. The six oyster wells show hand painted florals.
9 inches in diameter x .50 inches high.
Marked MF for the Maison Fouillen.
Multiple plates are available all in excellent vintage condition.
