An aesthetic movement French faïence asparagus plate, Keller & Guerin Saint Clément, circa 1880. A border of bleeding hearts flower heads, or as they are called in France. Coeurs de Marie, encircle three asparagus spears that divide the plate into three sections, a part for the spears, one for sauce, and a part for waste.
