About the Item
A fabulous Fachschule Haida Enamel Box and Cover. Enamelled with stylised flowers in a typical black and yellow ornate framing -This dates to around 1910. This design and similar ones are well document and are featured in many important books on high quality Bohemian glass.
The Fachschule Haida was the workshop of the famous Haida glass school - to promote their skills and generate income the Professors at the school would create designs and the students would cut and enamel them for sale -there was no factory - all the work was done and the pieces created by the Professors and their students -It was one of only three Bohemian glass schools; it was later renamed Nový Bor and still exists today
